O Bee Credit Union is hiring an Interim Financial Services Representative to join our amazing team in our Tumwater Branch. This is an interim, full-time role that plays a vital part in supporting our mission, our Members, and our one-of-a-kind company culture. What You’ll Do As our Interim Financial Services Representative, you will provide financial services to members including loan services, business development and performing account transactions as needed. Works toward and assists in the positive image and growth of the credit union by providing World Class Member Service. Responsibilities Lending This position is the primary lender for the branch meaning they are responsible for most loan inquiries, including credit cards, personal loans, auto loans and HELOC applications received through the branch. Handles consumer loans of varying complexity, value, and risk. Gathers background information on loan applicants by interviewing loan applicants via telephone and obtaining credit bureau reports. Verifies debts and estimates monthly payments for any outstanding debts not listed on application. Provides information to members regarding vehicle book values, lending policy, terms, interest rates, payment configurations, etc. Ensures that all loans have proper documentation for regulatory compliance (RESPA, REG Z, etc.). Forwards loans requests to Underwriting for decisions. Creates and maintains positive working relationships with branch employees and other departments. Works closely with Branch staff and e-Lending staff to coordinate and schedule appointments for timely signing of loan documents. If a loan is denied, Financial Service Representative (FSR) collaborates with the member to provide recommendations or alternative options to secure a loan in the future. If approved, may communicate terms and condition of loans with member. New Accounts Responsible for opening consumer and business accounts and cross selling applicable products and services. Complies with credit union policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations. Is knowledgeable of all share account products and works closely with members to open accounts which will best fit their needs. Explains features and benefits of credit union products and services to members. Completes required Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) as needed and notifies BSA and/or other appropriate department of any suspicious activities; providing information needed to complete Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs). Cross Selling Educates members to include recommending and cross selling additional products and services when building relationships with members. Keeps up to date on all credit union products and services, policies and procedures, and rules and regulations. Assists in attaining lending goals for the branch and organization. Branch Support Responds to members’ requests, regarding account balances, transaction history, and complaints. Resolves issues and directs them to the appropriate staff member for specific information and assistance. May be required to fulfill MSR II duties including teller transactions, vault and TCR balancing and account research. Performs other duties as assigned. Provides branch support when needed. What Desired Qualifications You’ll Bring High School Diploma or GED (required) Basic math, spelling, reading, and letter writing principles. At least one-year experience as an MSR I, MSR II, preferred. 6 months to one year of customer service experience. 6 months cash handling experience. Ability to work a flexible schedule to include Saturday. Previous experience with Symitar and LoansPQ preferred. Skills That Shine Ability to communicate verbally, in writing and over the phone. Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and problem solve. Skill to operate a 10-key calculator. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Ability to obtain notary license within 6 months.
