Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Interim Legal & Compliance Director (maternity cover) to lead our dynamic legal team and drive critical projects forward. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for a wide range of legal topics, with a strong emphasis on corporate, equity markets, and financing matters.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

As our Interim Legal & Compliance Director, you will:

  • Lead the Fastned Legal Team: Oversee and guide a team of 10 in-house legal counsels spread across four different countries. This includes fostering their growth, providing support, and ensuring the team’s overall effectiveness. Travel to our country offices will be part of this responsibility.
  • Drive Key Projects: Lead various legal projects, ensuring their successful execution and contributing directly to Fastned’s strategic objectives. Your own legal projects will have a strong focus on (bank)financing, corporate work and equity capital markets.
  • Manage and work on Diverse Legal Topics: The legal team primarily focuses on property law and lease agreements, construction contracts, and resolving legal matters related to these areas. Their work also includes a wide range of service contracts, HR-related legal issues, and energy supply agreements such as PPAs and other grid-related solutions.
  • Strategic Risk Assessment: Effectively assess legal risks against commercial decisions within a fast-paced, scale-up environment, daring to make informed decisions without excessive reliance on external counsel.
