Description RESPONIBILITIES: Oversight responsibility for Compliance and Ethics Program. Manages the Quality Assurance Process Improvement (QAPI) process for facility. Direct and supervise resident and family relations. Demonstrate accountability for resident's rights including resident choice, privacy, and respectful care. Assume the role of resident advocate and liaison and behalf of all residents. Maintain confidentiality of all communications and records pertaining to residents and employees. Conduct daily rounds to guide delivery of services and care. Ensure resident care based upon physicians' orders, care plans and established standards and facility policies. Direct and supervise all operations, including nursing, dietary, housekeeping, activities, plant operations, and administrative functions. Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures that guide the provision of all services. Appraise and evaluate individual staff members' strengths and weaknesses. Maintain written job descriptions for all levels of departmental personnel. Provide and or delegate as reasonable annual evaluations for all departmental staff. Interview and recommend for hire new staff members. Provide disciplinary action as necessary and warranted to individual staff members. Oversee appropriate documentation for those individual who have terminated their employment. Direct and supervise department heads to fulfill job position responsibilities. Conducts regularly scheduled staff meeting to advise, update and coordinate services as necessary. Prepare and present required forecast and budgets. Responsible for maintaining compliance with approved operational and capital budgets. Develop and recommend courses of action to correct unfavorable budget variances. Ensure appropriate utilization of personnel, equipment and supplies. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulatory standards, rules and regulations. Coordinate and facilitate all state and federal survey processes. Direct all utilization review and regulatory compliance operations with/for all other departments. Direct and supervise all risk management activities for the facility. Identify areas of potential liabilities and report to cooperate office. Direct and supervise actions necessary to correct and al operational deficiencies. Analyze problems with process improvement teams and determine solutions. Present self in a manner that assures the confidence of residents, families, visitors, and staff. Ensure department utilize appropriate infections control procedures. Maintain current license by attending continuing education hours as needed. Adhere to dress code. Attend daily department head meetings. Demonstrate knowledge of facilities Policies & Procedures during the performance of duties. Any other duties or projects assign to you by the Corporate President. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Must submit to and record a negative result to pre-employment drug testing. must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check. Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate in English. Must have knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare Regulations. Must have knowledge of Federal and State standards for healthcare providers. Must have knowledge of utilization review and case management procedures. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and E-mail. EDUCATION: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Long Term Care or related field. Must have a current Texas Administrator's License.
