American Consultants is looking for a interim Revenue Cycle Project Manager.
REVENUE CYCLE PROJECT MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple strategic initiatives focused on optimizing Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) operations and technology tools. This role requires a seasoned professional who understands the complexities of healthcare revenue cycle processes, has a proven background in process improvement, and excels in managing large-scale projects that drive financial performance and operational efficiency. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between RCM leadership, executive stakeholders, and operational teams to ensure successful implementation and optimization of RCM applications, workflows, and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required (Lean Six Sigma certification a plus).
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, reimbursement, denials management, and/or EHR/RCM systems.
Proven success managing enterprise-wide RCM technology projects, such as EHR remediation, billing system upgrades, charge capture optimization, or workflow redesign.
Strong knowledge of RCM applications and EHR systems (e.g., Allscripts/Sunrise, Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms). Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or equivalent).
Advanced skills in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or similar).
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to senior leadership in a clear, compelling manner.
Ability to build relationships across multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a results-driven mindset.

Lead and manage multiple concurrent RCM-related projects, including system implementations, application optimizations, workflow redesign, and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Revenue Cycle, Finance, Clinical Operations, and IT to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
Utilize project management methodologies and tools (Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.) to effectively plan, track, and report on project progress.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while proactively resolving barriers to project success.
Translate technical and operational project outcomes into executive-level presentations for leadership and board review.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the revenue cycle, focusing on enhanced billing accuracy, compliance, cash flow, and overall revenue performance.
Provide thought leadership on industry best practices in RCM, leveraging expertise to inform project design and execution.
