YOUR TREASURE OF EXPERIENCE

  • 7+ years experience in a HRBP role, with at least 2 years in a lead or managerial capacity.
  • Proven experience in HR strategy, employee relations, talent management and talent acquisition.
  • In depth knowledge of labour laws, compliance regulations, payroll, HR best practices and trends.
  • Comfortable balancing business objectives with people’s needs.
  • Strong coaching and advisory skills.
  • A strong communicator and stakeholder manager who can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyse HR issues from different perspectives: individual, team, organizational, and business.
  • Fluent in English and German.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and supporting career growth.
  • Delegate tasks and manage workloads to ensure the team operates efficiently and meets its objectives.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex HR issues, guiding the team to find effective solutions.
  • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding.
  • Streamline and improve existing HR processes and workflows for maximum efficiency and a great employee experience.
  • Ensure all HR administrative tasks are handled accurately and in a timely manner, including managing HRIS (e.g., Personio), payroll support, and employee data.
  • Collaborate with senior management and department heads to align HR initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Lead or assist with recruitment interviews.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on a wide range of HR topics.
  • Help resolve employee relations issues and conflicts in a fair and confidential manner.
  • Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Together with the Chief People Officer, attend all the First Mate Committee (our informal workers council) meetings, acting as a main HR-point of contact and providing relevant information.
  • Working together with the First Mate Committee on initiatives as a result of our employee surveys and ongoing conversations.
  • Act as development chief, analysing training needs and developing training concepts for our pirates and leadership.
