Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Interim Workday Project Manager to lead the European implementation of Workday HR modules, including Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, and Compensation. You will work under the direction of a global Program Manager based in Japan, ensuring regional execution is aligned with the overall program strategy. The role will require close collaboration with local HR teams, IT, and external implementation partners.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in Workday HCM implementations, with a strong focus on HR modules.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting, and Compensation.
  • Demonstrated success in leading regional or multi-country implementations within a global framework.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating across time zones, especially with Asia-based teams or leadership.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are an asset.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g. PMP, Agile, Prince2).


    • Preferred Profile:

    • Prior experience with Workday implementation in the Netherlands or broader EMEA region.
    • Familiarity with European HR compliance and operational practices.
    • Available to start at short notice.
    • Able to work from Capelle aan den IJssel, with some flexibility for remote work.
      Additional Information
    Responsibilities
    • Lead the deployment of Workday HR modules across multiple European branches (NL, IT, DE, ES, UK/IE and more), from planning through post go-live support.
    • Collaborate with the Japan-based Program Manager and global program team to ensure European alignment with global timelines and deliverables.
    • Act as the primary interface between regional stakeholders and the global Workday program.
    • Manage project plans, milestones, risk logs, and resources specific to the European implementation.
    • Facilitate key project activities such as data migration, user acceptance testing, training, and change management.
    • Coordinate with local stakeholder in Europe to gather requirements, validate configurations, and support go-live readiness.
    • Ensure accurate integration of Workday HR modules with relevant local systems and processes.
    • Provide weekly progress reports, escalate risks or delays, and lead resolution efforts.
