FULL-TIME POSITION | STARTING AT $24/HOUR

Lisa Scheff Designs is a full-service interior design firm based in Longmeadow, MA, serving clients across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and motivated Interior Design Assistant to support our design team. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, and eager to grow in the interior design industry.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (associate’s degree considered).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of customer service or client-facing experience; interior design experience a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on client service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint ,etc.) is a must; experience with design/drafting software. Experience with Canva is a plus!
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities
  • Support lead designers in the development and execution of residential and commercial design projects.
  • Draft space and lighting plans, elevations, and other construction documentation under the guidance of the Director of Design.
  • Assist with design concepts, product sourcing, pricing, and material selections.
  • Create design boards, tear sheets, spec books, and renderings as directed.
  • Take field measurements and attend client meetings as needed.
  • Research design trends, finishes, materials, and building codes.
  • Maintain the design library, organize samples, and keep office systems up to date.
  • Prepare and update client and vendor files.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives to support firm growth.
  • Collaborate with the design team while balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Assist project manager on site with vendors and clients.
  • Accept tasks delegated by the team.
