JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented Interior Design Assistant & SketchUp Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, proficiency in SketchUp software, and the ability to follow design direction while also sourcing materials for interior design projects. This role plays a vital part in the creative process, bringing concepts to life through 3D modeling and material selection.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Proficiency in SketchUp and Auto Cad is required; experience with rendering software is required.
• Strong understanding of interior design principles and material selection.
• Ability to interpret design briefs and produce compelling 3D visualizations.
• 3 years minimum experience in Canada or the US in interior design related position.
• Follows directions of supervisor and is accountable.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for aesthetics and functionality.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
• Knowledge of other design software (Photoshop) is an asset.
• Canadian or American job references required.

• Create high-quality 3D models using SketchUp and eventually Auto Cad, to visualize design concepts.
• Work closely with the president and projects team to translate ideas into accurate and functional renderings.
• Follow design direction and adapt models based on feedback.
• Source and recommend materials, finishes, and furnishings to align with project goals.
• Assist in interior design decision-making by researching trends, suppliers, and sustainable options.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain an organized digital library of design assets and materials.
