JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Interior Designer with a strong sense of aesthetics and a passion for transforming homes into functional and inspiring spaces. This role involves working closely with clients and our internal design-build team to develop and execute compelling design concepts from vision to completion.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of residential design experience (co-op, internship, or freelance considered)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong skills in hand sketching, mood boarding, and visual presentation
  • Knowledge or interest in construction materials, custom millwork, and space planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong design portfolio showcasing residential work is required for consideration

BONUS SKILLS

  • Experience in fashion, visual arts, or motion graphics
  • Familiarity with sustainable and wellness-focused design principles
  • Working knowledge of BC Building Code or Vancouver zoning bylaws
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, lifestyle needs, and budget requirements
  • Create comprehensive design plans including space planning, furniture layouts, material palettes, and mood boards
  • Produce detailed drawings, renderings, and presentations using tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Conduct site visits to ensure design integrity and quality control throughout the project
  • Source and specify furnishings, finishes, lighting, and décor aligned with the design narrative
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging materials, and sustainable design practices
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, consultants, and vendors to support seamless execution
  • Manage multiple residential projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining design excellence
