Terra Biophilic Design is a leader in biophilic design, specializing in custom moss walls and green installations for luxury commercial and residential spaces. We collaborate with interior designers, architects, and developers to bring nature into interior spaces through sustainable, artful solutions.
Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Coordinator Intern to support our design and project management team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about interior design, sustainability, and hands-on project coordination. You will assist in translating client concepts into production-ready designs, prepare mood boards, coordinate samples, and ensure projects run smoothly from concept to installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing design proposals, quotes, and client presentations
  • Create mood boards, 3D renderings, and visual mock-ups of moss walls in client spaces
  • Work with the production team to translate design specifications into fabrication plans
  • Coordinate with suppliers for materials, finishes, and samples
  • Help manage project timelines and installation schedules
  • Maintain organized design files, drawings, and records
  • Support social media and marketing efforts with design-related content

Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an interior design, interior decorating, or architecture program
  • Proficiency in design software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar) and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong visual communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
  • Interest in sustainability and biophilic design trends

Preferred:

  • Experience in client communication or sales support
  • Knowledge of project management tools (Monday.com, Trello, or similar)
  • Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications
