JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer / Options Coordinator to take ownership of our home design selection and options coordination process. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design experience for both pre-sold and spec homes—managing appointments, overseeing documentation, and ensuring selections are flawlessly executed across construction and purchasing.
You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy, serving as the primary point of contact for all design-related decisions, while collaborating with leadership, consultants, sales, and field teams. This is a standalone position that requires a mix of creative vision, precision, and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
· Experience in interior design, residential construction, or design coordination
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
· Ability to manage multiple deadlines with precision
· Clear, professional communication in client and team settings
· Willingness to adopt and navigate software like ThreadKore, Asana, or similar platforms
Preferred
· Familiarity with production or semi-custom homebuilding
· Understanding of architectural plans, elevations, and residential finish materials
· Ability to visualize color schemes and material combinations

• Design Ownership
  · Guide homeowners through design appointments, helping them select finishes and features
  · Finalize interior and exterior design packages for both pre-sold and spec homes
  · Ensure selections align with community aesthetics and construction feasibility
  Systems & Documentation
  · Accurately enter selections into ThreadKore and keep records updated
  · Draft and route change orders to all relevant stakeholders (construction, purchasing, and sales team)
  · Maintain up-to-date option reports and design documentation for each home
  · Review cabinet plans, paint purchase orders, and design sheets for consistency and accuracy
  Coordination & Communication
  · Collaborate with purchasing to track pricing changes and product updates
  · Work with leadership and sales to determine spec elevations and interior/exterior palettes
  · Respond to ARC requests and coordinate walkthroughs
  · Support construction teams in understanding and implementing design intent
  Quality & Assurance
  · Perform weekly jobsite walkthroughs to verify alignment with approved selections and change orders
  · Resolve discrepancies proactively and ensure issues are communicated and documented
  · Track progress in Asana and ensure timely completion of design-related tasks
