JOB OVERVIEW

Interiors…by design is seeking a motivated and talented Interior Designer & Sales Specialist to join our team. We’re looking for a creative and driven individual who is passionate about both design and client relationships. This is a full-time position that includes a rotating Saturday schedule. This position is hourly plus commission. This position requires a unique blend of creative design skills and strong sales expertise. You will be responsible for guiding clients through the entire design process, from initial consultation to project completion, ensuring a seamless and exceptional customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in interior design and/or sales is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates a strong passion and aptitude for the role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with design software is a plus.
  • Skilled in taking accurate field measurements and creating hand-drawn layouts.
  • Willingness and ability to learn cabinetry design using 2020 Design software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be a “people person” with strong social skills and a positive attitude.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Additional Skills (welcome, but not required):
  • Marketing or social media experience.
  • Knowledge of current design trends and materials.

Responsibilities
  • Design & Project Management:
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Accurately take field measurements and create precise hand-drawn layouts.
  • Develop and present design concepts and material selections.
  • Create detailed cabinetry designs using 2020 Design software (training will be provided).
  • Lead and manage remodeling and new construction projects from start to finish.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals involved in the construction process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative design solutions.
  • Sales & Customer Service:
  • Actively engage with potential clients to build relationships and close sales.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and grow a client base through strong networking and follow-up.
  • Utilize strong social skills to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Administrative & Marketing:
  • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Assist with marketing efforts, including social media content creation, to showcase projects and attract new clients.
