ɤ Job Overview:
We’re seeking an Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. Working independently with clients to design and document existing spaces and new designs. Listening to your clients needs and using your creative skills to design within that is a core value at FDC. Measuring existing homes, creating construction drawings and specifications books are just the start. In addition to the construction drawings, you will be coordinating directly with engineers, permitting technicians, and contractors to align the project seamlessly.
ɤ Responsibilities:
- Apply project goals and work through each projects process with the accuracy and efficiency of a high-level designer.
-Understand your clients goals and have the innate ability to design within that and create unique solutions to challenging problems
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D renderings to visualize design ideas and concepts effectively.
- Specify materials and finishes to align with project requirements.
- Demonstrate a high level of communication and coordination with your team, clients, contractors and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, software, and industry innovations to enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to our projects.
- Utilize relevant design software with pro skills, such as AutoCAD, Chief Architect and Adobe, etc., to enhance the efficiency and quality of your work.
- Embrace challenges with enthusiasm and demonstrate a proactive attitude to tackle new design endeavors.
-Accurately track and bill your time to client projects.
ɤ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
-Demonstration of 5+ years of relevant experience in the industry
- Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant programs. Knowledge of Chief Architect and 2020 is a plus!
- A strong eye for design aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Quick learner and adaptable to new design concepts and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Professional manner and dress is expected at all times
