From the document: “The Interior Designer shall be responsible for independently planning and carrying out the assigned tasks to meet the objectives of the Interior Design Section… including overseeing and assisting with major project activations, moves, space planning, budgeting, preparing packages for furniture, finishes, and equipment purchases.” Key Responsibilities · • Prepare AutoCAD drawings, FF&E plans, color schemes, sketches, and presentation materials. · • Review architectural drawings for compliance with VA TIL standards. · • Develop procurement packages (SOWs, specifications, IGCEs, bid sheets, budgets). · • Coordinate delivery, installation, and punch‑list completion with vendors. · • Maintain the Interior Design Resource Library and project documentation. · • Oversee installation crews and ensure compliance with ABAAS, ICC, OSHA, NFPA, and VA guidelines. · • Facilitate stakeholder communication and support transition planning and move‑in activities. Minimum Qualifications · • Familiarity with Patient Centered Care culture in healthcare. · • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. · • Skilled in freehand and scaled drawing. · • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite. · • Preferred: NCIDQ, PMP, EDAC, LEED. · • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical Requirements · • Ability to conduct on‑site measurements and walkthroughs. · • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally. · • Extended periods of computer work.
