Our established team of professional, passionate interior designers at Solterra is seeking an energetic, organized Interior Designer – Intermediate. KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interior Design education from an accredited program
  • Min 3 years’ experience as a professional Interior Designer
  • Proficienct in Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and associated rendering plug-ins, is required
  • Strong presentation skills, including materials and methods,
  • Artistic Eye for details with exceptional knowledge and expertise working with colours, materials, textures, and layout of interior finishes.
  • Proven experience with FF&E; fabric, furniture and equipment selection.
  • Ability to prepare contract documents, including floor plans, finish plans, reflected ceiling plans, electrical plans, interior elevations, millwork sections and details, schedules, specifications, general notes and information, in compliance with the Building Code
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at a time and armed with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Solid communication skills for a collaborative team-based working environment
  • Attention to quality, detail-oriented and accuracy is critical

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the creation of the Concept Design, Schematic Design, and Design Development packages.
  • Prepare presentation material (3D Sketchup models, 2D floor plans, design packages, sample boards, etc.)
  • Participate in the development of material and finish specifications and assist with the coordination of the FF&E
  • Research and source manufacturers for furniture systems, fixtures, materials
  • Creation of furniture and décor packages.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and staff
  • Responsible to organize and control sample inventory from providers and perform continuous quality control on them.
