Description Posterity Group LLC is a veteran owned, service-disabled small business, headquartered in Rockville, MD, that specializes in federal government contracting and staffing. We are tasked with staffing The San Francisco VA Healthcare System (SFVAHCS) in San Francisco, CA with a Interior Designer. The Interior Designer expected to perform the following: Provides complete, from concept to installation, interior design services for a medical center and satellite facilities. Provides plans, consultation, advice, specifications, and designs for all spaces involved in new construction and/or renovation. Responsible for the design of patient-friendly environments which are conducive to healing, aesthetically appealing, safety and code compliant, with clear and understandable maneuverability, all within the fiscal requirements set down by Medical Center Leadership. Develops and maintains a schedule of short and long range interior improvement projects. Checks on work in progress and review completed work to see that instruction on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines have been met. Keeps in touch with the status and progress of work, and makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities, obtain assistance from the Project Manager on problems that may arise, such as backlogs which cannot be disposed of promptly. Amend or reject work not meeting established standards, referring questions or matters not covered by standards and problems in meeting performance standards to Project Manager. Responds to requests and complaints related to interior design functions. Advises supervisor of suitable responses to deficiencies in design functions where applicable. Keeps Project Manager informed on expected time of completion of work, and maintains records of work accomplishments and time expended. Prepares production reports as requested. Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques and makes available written instructions, reference materials, and supplies. Gives on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices. Maintains current knowledge of interior design standards, procedures, policies, directives, and answer questions of interior designers. Requirements Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
