Description POSITION SUMMARY Designs, manages and performs within a design team in a self-directed manner in all aspects of the Interior Design process including preparation of materials, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, rendering and construction of administration activities within an established budget with specific scheduling, site and programmatic requirements. A Designer may lead parts of or entire project depending upon the scope in conjunction with Team Leadership. Requirements EDUCATION Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA-accredited or NAAB-accredited program EXPERIENCE 2 - 6 years GENERAL SKILLS Excellent written communication skills Effective oral communication skills; able to participate in client presentations Demonstrates collaborative and professional work ethic Self-directed and motivated Complete comprehensive project tasks in an expedited time frame with minimal feedback Communicate and coordinate effectively with outside vendors and consultants JOB REQUIRED SKILLS Effective experience with construction materials and FF&E specifications/providers Effective experience in project design specifications, construction documentation, production, material selection, shop drawing review and construction administration Effective graphic skills in AutoCAD (current release preferred) Strong experience in Design, Photoshop and SketchUp Experience rendering in Enscape Effective knowledge in specification writing (SPEXX experience preferred) Effective understanding and knowledge of design principals, theories, color and materials Perform Quality Control exercises on one’s own work Able to manage and complete project tasks in accordance with project schedules Effective understanding of hotel brand structures and standards Provide documentation in accordance with brand-specific standards and guidelines
Responsibilities
