POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our collaborative team. This role combines creative design expertise with technical drawing skills to deliver exceptional kitchen and bathroom renovations for our discerning clientele in Alexandria, Arlington, and the greater DC area. The ideal candidate will thrive in our design-build environment, working closely with architects, project managers, and craftspeople to bring beautiful, functional spaces to life.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in residential interior design, preferably kitchen and bath
• Proficiency in CAD software (preference for Revit, SketchUp, AutoCad, 20/20)
• Strong knowledge of building codes, particularly for kitchens and bathrooms
• Experience with material selection and vendor relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of construction processes and terminology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with historic renovation projects
• Familiarity with Alexandria and Arlington building codes and permitting processes
• Knowledge of universal design principles and accessibility requirements
• Experience with 3D rendering software (SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc.)
• NCIDQ or NKBA certification or working toward certification
• Experience in a design-build environment
