Description Shive-Hattery has an immediate opening for a Senior Interior Designer with strong project management experience to join our Cleveland office. We are a full-service design firm offering interior design, architecture, engineering, and landscape architecture services. This role is an integral part of our design team and will be involved in all phases of project delivery across a variety of project types. What You’ll Do Engage with project teams from programming and scope definition through design, documentation, and implementation Collaborate closely with project architects, project managers, and other senior interior designers on all aspects of project delivery Lead and contribute to design concept development, presentations, and client reviews Prepare schematic and conceptual design materials including space plans, floor plans, ceiling plans, elevations, finish plans, and design sketches Assist in the development and coordination of 2D and 3D design drawings, renderings, and presentations Assist in the production of construction documents, details, schedules, specifications, and FF&E documentation using Revit and related software Perform Revit/BIM modeling and ensure compliance with project development and production standards Coordinate documentation requirements with internal design teams and external consultants Attend site visits and field reviews and provide direction to contractors and vendors as needed Assist with project planning, scheduling, and maintaining strong client relationships; may serve as project manager on select projects Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight of staff on larger or more complex projects Contribute to business development efforts and support long-term client relationships Maintain current knowledge of materials, finishes, furnishings, and equipment, including industry standards for selection, procurement, and installation Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and education Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program NCIDQ Certification (or ability to obtain); state registration where applicable 5+ years of professional interior design experience, with demonstrated project management responsibilities Experience with commercial workplace, education, hospitality, and/or healthcare projects Strong ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts to project teams, clients, and external partners Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with close attention to deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to solve complex design challenges Recognized expertise in a market sector and/or demonstrated design leadership is a plus Why Shive-Hattery?
