They should be capable of delivering high-quality 3D and 2D designs while working remotely within a structured workflow Qualifications You hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field. Previous experience in an OEM or Tier-1 automotive environment is preferred. Experience with lighting components, optical integration, or interior modules is considered a strong advantage. Professional Attributes Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality deliverables. Capable of working independently in a remote setup while maintaining excellent communication. Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate design issues and propose solutions. Structured, reliable, and capable of following established workflows and design guidelines. Comfortable participating in regular alignment meetings and presenting design output Technical Skills CATIA V5 expertise with at least 1–2 years of hands-on experience in interior lighting design. Strong understanding of plastic part design, packaging constraints, and integration of lighting components. Familiarity with VW Group processes and standards (preferred). Experience with CONNECT (VW Group PLM tool) is a strong plus. Ability to manage CAD data, revisions, and design documentation in a PLM environment Soft Skills Strong communication skills, especially in a remote work context. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Component Owners, Project Leads, QA). Problem-solving mindset with good organizational skills.
