Description

Are you a self-driven individual with a hands-on approach and a keen eye for aesthetics? If you have strong commercial visual skills and enjoy practical tasks, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be responsible for sourcing, preparing, and installing decorative accessories for various settings, including show homes, hotels, and private residences. You’ll collaborate closely with our Design Project Managers to bring their visions to life and introduce new ideas that complement designs.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant design qualification and at least one year of experience in a hands-on design role or visual merchandising position within the home furnishing industry.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Design qualification with 1 year of industry experience
  • UK driving license essential
  • Creative and imaginative abilities
  • Organisational skills and basic numeracy
  • A visual merchandising background is beneficial
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • IT proficiency
    Salary dependent on experience. Benefits include a company profit-based bonus, and staff discounts. Both full time and part time applicants considered.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain an organised stock of styling items, arrange stock replenishment, and handle goods received from suppliers
  • Collaborate with the designers to agree on project plans, discussing budget limitations, and infusing creativity and imagination
  • Source suitable accessories from stock, supplement with specialist items when necessary, and coordinate trade or retail shopping to meet project needs
  • Manage stock records, including recording usage and reconciling purchases with accounts
  • Prepare accessories, pack for transport, unpack on site, and assist with site preparation tasks
  • Stay current with product trends and styles, occasionally attending trade shows, and visiting competitor show homes for inspiration
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the workplace and ensure compliance with health and safety policies
  • Attend department meetings, provide suggestions for improvement, and report defects or hindrances
