JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Interlock Layer to join our growing team in the landscaping and hardscaping industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing interlocking stone, pavers, and related hardscape features. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality installations that meet both structural standards and aesthetic expectations. The successful candidate will demonstrate teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results for clients.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in interlock installation, landscaping, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of base preparation, grading, and proper drainage techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret site plans or layout designs.
• Skilled in operating construction tools and equipment (cut-off saws, compactors, skid steers, etc.).
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of workplace safety practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare job sites by excavating, grading, and compacting base materials to proper specifications.
• Lay interlock stone, brick, or pavers with accuracy, ensuring proper alignment, level, and spacing.
• Cut and shape stone or brick using power tools and hand tools as required.
• Install edge restraints and apply polymeric sand or jointing compounds to secure interlock systems.
• Operate machinery such as skid steers, compactors, and saws safely and efficiently.
• Assist with measuring and planning layouts according to design drawings and client specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite while adhering to safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and to company quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
