QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Table, V Lookup)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-starter, organized, and have a high attention to detail
  • Experience in internal control/SOX, implementation of new systems is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills and be able to work under strict deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using a complex ERP system with EPICOR is an asset
  • Epicor experience is an asset

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Recent completion of CPA or working towards CPA designation at higher level
  • 2 - 3 years of progressive accounting experience

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate is responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks and acts as a departmental support to ensure that the financial statements are maintained in an effective, up to date, and accurate manner. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be exposed to multiple facets within our Finance Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run weekly management reports
  • Perform monthly reconciliations, analysis and prepare journal entries
  • Perform quarterly reserve calculations (i.e. AR, warranty and Inventory)
  • Assist with Internal and External Audit documentation preparation
  • Become a Power User of the ERP system and assist the business with reporting and analysis
  • Assist with ERP system upgrade when required
  • Review Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable batches and Inventory adjustment transactions
  • Occasionally back up for the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable Clerks and Inventory Analyst
  • Adopt a proactive role in the continuous improvement of the business systems
  • Records retention
  • Special projects as assigned by Controller and VP of Finance, as needed
