Technical Task/Competency Financial Statement Report Preparation Can prepare: *Group accounts (including inter-entity balances, subventions and interest): *FIF *Multiple trust distributions *NFP Tier 1 & 2 Reports Drafts queries correspondence for Managers to send. Is developing the ability to distinguish between material and immaterial items for inclusion. Tax Return Preparation Can calculate: *Tax obligations for a range of business/taxation structures for non-complex scenarios Prepares: *GST returns for groups. Can critically review client coding for GST. *More complex FBT, DWT, interest and RWT returns Technical Knowledge: *Is familiar with financial reporting standards *Workpapers ensures all firm compliance and quality assurance requirements are met. Clear workings and supporting documentation/ rationale are provided. Is able to apply experience and knowledge to resolve more complex variances in workpapers independently *Is developing further understanding of NZ tax considerations. Remains up-to-date with training and information releases.
