OVERVIEW

We are launching an innovative line of Martha Stewart food products and are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in accounting, experience using SAGE software, and at least two years of practical experience. While a professional designation (e.g., CPA) is not required, a solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices is essential (work experience in an accounting firm would be an assist). This role also requires an individual who can help manage and automate certain accounting and inventory control processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in an accounting role (preferred)
• Proficiency with Sage Accounting Software is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

DUTIES

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and prepare month-end reports
• Provide proper accounting treatment for foreign currency transactions
• Prepare budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Prepare and file government remittances (GST/HST, payroll, etc.)
• Generate financial statements and support year-end audit processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
