YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Dillon’s Atmospheric Services discipline is looking for an Intermediate Air Quality Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to enhance Dillon’s air quality presence in Ontario which will include delivering existing work, engaging new clients, and building a dynamic team to work collaboratively with Dillon’s existing Atmospheric Services team.
At Dillon, we operate as one team. This position is available at any of our Ontario offices: Toronto, North York, Ottawa, Guelph, Kitchener, Chatham, Hamilton, Kingston, London, Oakville, Windsor.

QUALIFICATIONS

What you will need to succeed

  • A degree in environmental, chemical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • P.Eng. designation with Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • 5+ years experience in environmental consulting or related experience in air quality.
  • Demonstrated relationship with local regulators (e.g. MECP) through project delivery.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in air quality related work is considered a must, including:
  • emission inventory development.
  • emission estimates.
  • dispersion modelling (AERMOD, CALPUFF, CALRoads).
  • regulatory reporting.
  • An understanding of federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations pertaining to air quality.
  • Experience preparing emission summary and dispersion modelling reports (ESDMs) and other air impact assessments to support ECAs, EASRs, and EAs.
  • Familiarity with National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) and Canadian Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Reporting programs.
  • Demonstrated abilities with project teamwork, team leadership, and client relationship building.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in an environment that provides quality, solution-oriented consulting services.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with GHG quantification, verification, and reporting is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with MECP’s environmental land use planning guides (D-series Guidelines) and experience in application of D-series Guidelines in land use compatibility assessments is considered an asset.
