Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 (Based on Experience & Registration)

We’re partnering with a respected mid-sized architecture, planning, and interior design firm with a long-standing presence across British Columbia. With multiple offices across BC, this firm is known for its commitment to delivering thoughtful, sustainable designs in the education, healthcare, and community sectors. Their projects serve a purpose and so does their culture.
As they grow their presence on Vancouver Island, they’re looking for an Intermediate Architect who’s passionate about high-quality design and ready to contribute meaningfully to both project work and team culture. This is a great opportunity to help shape a new studio location from the ground up.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.Arch or equivalent degree in architecture
  • Registered Architect or Intern Architect (AIBC) in good standing, or eligible
  • 5–8 years of experience in an architecture firm
  • Strong Revit proficiency and experience working on institutional or community-focused projects
  • Knowledge of BC Building Code and local permitting processes
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset with a passion for thoughtful design
  • Open to candidates based in BC or those willing to relocate

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a well-rounded, collaborative Intermediate Architect to join this firms Victoria office. You’ll work closely with project leaders on a range of institutional and community projects from education and healthcare to light commercial and be involved across multiple project phases. If you’re registered or on the path to registration, and ready for more project ownership and long-term growth, this could be your next big move.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate on the design and technical development of institutional and community projects
  • Contribute to design development, documentation, and coordination across project phases
  • Assist with the preparation of drawings, specifications, and permit submissions
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors to support project delivery
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to problem-solving and construction review
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, bylaws, and best practices
  • Participate in team reviews and design discussions
  • Support junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture
