BACK-END SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (FULL-TIME POSITION)

Our company is seeking a talented back-end Software Engineer for a full-time position to help drive the development of industry-leading software solutions. This position is based out of our office located at 4211 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC, V5H 1Z6.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in back-end development
• Strong proficiency in one or more back-end programming languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP)
• Experience with building and integrating RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints
• Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Understanding of back-end architecture: layered design, separation of concerns, and request flow from API to data and back
• Understanding of server-side frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Spring Boot, Django, .NET Core)
• Knowledge of security best practices, authentication/authorization, and data protection
• Familiarity with version control systems such Git (e.g., GitHub or BitBucket)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

• Contribute to the back-end development of the Excelar Careflow platform, building scalable and secure server-side applications
• Develop and maintain APIs (RESTful and/or GraphQL) to connect front-end applications with clinical data pipelines
• Design and optimize database schemas for relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Implement and maintain authentication, authorization, and data security measures to protect sensitive patient information
• Collaborate with front-end developers and data engineers to integrate AI models and clinical data workflows into the platform
• Participate in agile development methodologies using tools such as JIRA, BitBucket, Jenkins
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while applying back-end optimization techniques and best practices
