ABOUT THE POSITION

Alchemy is looking for an Intermediate Bookkeeper to join our team and support our growing client base. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in full-cycle bookkeeping, thrives in a remote work environment, and is excited to contribute to both client success and team collaboration.
This is a remote position, however you must legally be able to work in Canada as you will be hired as an Employee. You must have good internet access at all times, and be a good communicator and committed to showing up to your work consistently. You would be reporting to the Business Owner, and occasionally the Operations Manager.
Job Type: Part-time (25 hours per week; with the possibility to go full time)
Hourly Rate: Starting at $24/hour (depending on skills, experience, and overall fit)

CORE REQUIREMENTS

  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Have a reliable personal device (laptop or desktop) for remote work, a strong and stable internet connection, and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace at home
  • 2–4 years of bookkeeping experience, including full-cycle bookkeeping and client-facing work (leading virtual meetings and presenting financial data to clients)
  • Bookkeeping certification preferred
  • Proficiency in QBO, Excel/Google Spreadsheet, and cloud-based systems
  • Good understanding of financial reports, accrual-based accounting, and payroll
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple clients and projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with digital businesses and online platforms, especially those that are used for cloud-based bookkeeping
