QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role in a support environment.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Intermediate-level BA skillset, including requirements elicitation, stakeholder engagement, use case creation, and process modeling (e.g., BPMN, UML).
  • Experience working in Agile environments, with knowledge of Agile ceremonies, artifacts, and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong understanding of databases, data integration concepts, and solution design.
  • Familiarity with commercial software applications and healthcare business processes (e.g., EMR, EHR systems).
  • Background in training, facilitation, and end-user support.
  • IIBA Entry Certification in Business Analysis (ECBA), or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • ITIL Certification (Asset).
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a key member of the Referral Management Services Unit, reporting to the Manager of Provider Services, you will play a central role in delivering eHealth Saskatchewan’s strategic initiatives. This position is instrumental in supporting the planning, implementation, and operational management of referral management software and its associated provincial infrastructure.
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Business Analyst who brings a balance of analytical thinking, collaboration, and business acumen. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business workflows, functional and non-functional requirements, and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, end users, and third-party vendors to align business needs with technical solutions.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and system documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) to support product planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Assist in solution planning and implementation to optimize system performance and enhance user experience.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and onboarding to support successful adoption of solutions.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements with appropriate governance, privacy, and security controls.
  • Contribute to change management and ensure seamless transitions into operational support services.
