Job purpose This document is designed to clarify the broad function and responsibilities of this role. The outline is not exhaustive, but rather is indicative of the nature and type of tasks involved on a day-to-day basis. The core purpose of this role is to provide accounting reporting & services relating to taxation and the financial dealings of our clients in a timely and professional manner to meet our client’s accounting needs and ensure strong customer satisfaction. Duties & Responsibilities Within the general function of this role, your workflow and responsibilities may be amended by the directors from time to time, to reflect the ongoing development of the incumbent and the operational needs of the firm and our clients. General duties of an Intermediate Client Manager include: · Prepares financial statements, GST, Income Tax, FBT, PAYE returns etc., filing with Inland Revenue in a timely manner, ensuring they are ready for review and completing all work. · Liaising and working with the team in New Zealand · Works effectively as part of the team, assisting and supporting colleagues with accounting queries and stepping in to help with workflow as needed or requested by director(s). · Maintains and submits accurate and detailed daily timesheets and keeps client files up to date including notes of client communication in our accounting program/system. · Assistance with monthly reporting requirements for clients. · Project work allocated from time to time by the Directors. Qualifications · Accounting degree, or · Working towards an Accounting degree, or · Significant industry experience working in a NZ Chartered Accountancy practice Experience • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role within a NZ CA workplace • Understands general tax requirements including Income Tax, GST, PAYE and FBT, applicable to business clients • Has a solid working knowledge of computers and accounting software applications, which ideally includes Xero, Spotlight, Syft, XPM Skills • Strong technical accounting & analytical skills • Strong computer and accounting software skills • Good attention to detail and demonstrated ability to problem-solve • Strong proactive relationship-management skills; written, phone and interpersonal communication skills a strength • Fast learner and ability to take feedback onboard in a professional manner • Understands the importance and practical implications of managing client privacy and general confidentiality requirements • Strong organization and time management skills Personal Attributes • Reliable, honest, hardworking • Approachable and friendly • Professional in presentation and manner • Resilient and works well under pressure, willing to assist others • Works well as part of a team and independently Core Perks and Benefits: HMO on your first day + Free coverage for 2 dependents on your 2nd year Government-mandated benefits 20 Annual Leave Credits 13th-month pay Birthday Leave Bereavement Leave Work Set-up: Onsite, Hybrid or work from home set up, subject for client approval This position is exclusively open to Philippine citizens currently living in the Philippines.
