For over 35 years, Country Signs has been the leader in new construction and refurbishing of gas stations across Canada. We provide a one stop shop for our customers including but not limited to, full installations, repairs, and service. We pride ourselves on doing whatever it takes to satisfy the customer with a ‘can do’ mentality. We are currently looking for dedicated, hardworking individual(s) to join our Alberta team and be an ambassador for Country Signs .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to solve large scale problems with the help of the Lead Hand/Shop Manager
  • Complete tasks on site including but not limited to the assembly of the steel canopy, installation of signage, and sign packages
  • Lead small crew of General Labourers
  • Ability to use various hand and/or power tools including how to read a tape measure
  • Communicate with Project Manger and/or Shop Manager daily about progress on site
  • Complete required safety paperwork using iPad
  • Train new hires
  • Organize site and communicate to your crew what tasks need to be completed each day
  • Conduct Tool Box Talks
  • Communicate with customers directly
  • Enforce OHSA

Requirements for this position:

  • Excellent work ethic
  • Ideally, you have been working on a construction site for 3-5 years’ with managing a small crew
  • Takes initiative
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Outlook and ability to use an iPad
  • Ability to travel out of town Monday-Friday each week
  • Working at Heights
  • Physically able to lift 50lbs throughout the day
  • Ability to work long hours in all weather conditions
  • Experience in all types of construction sign installation
  • Mobile crane license is an asset, but we will train
  • Steel experience preferred but not required
  • Work well with others
  • Self starter
  • Min of ‘Class 5’ license with a clean abstract
