Position Overview We are seeking an Intermediate/Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The team provides services for multiple divisions and business lines including estate grown wine, tasting rooms, bistros, fine dining, accommodations and events. Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the accounting cycles, keeping accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, analyzing costs, and preparing management reports. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is ready to take on more complex responsibilities and contribute to process improvements. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports. Reconcile bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts. Manage regulatory remittances. Support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll process execution as required. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. Analyze and report on product, project, and departmental costs. Support margin and break-even analysis to identify improvement opportunities. Collaborate with operations, and production teams to control costs. Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen cost efficiency and financial controls. Qualifications CPA designation, completed or in final stages. 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel. Knowledge of both financial and cost accounting principles. Experience with management reporting and financial analysis. Experience with inventory and POS systems.
