THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Intermediate Database Administrator (DBA) to join our infrastructure team. In this operational role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and performance of our core databases. You will collaborate closely with our in-house DBA architect and DevOps teams to ensure stability and efficiency across our data infrastructure. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys maintaining production systems, solving performance issues, optimizing, automating and documenting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health and performance of SQL Server and SSIS databases
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks: index optimization, backups, restores, job monitoring
  • Investigate and resolve database-related incidents and user issues
  • Manage database access, permissions, and security in compliance with internal policies
  • Execute tuning recommendations from the DBA architect
  • Document operational procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
  • Support reporting teams with data access requests and extract queries
  • Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams on backup and recovery processes

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a DBA, focused on SQL Server
  • Working knowledge of SSIS job management and troubleshooting
  • Solid experience with T-SQL scripting and performance tuning techniques
  • Familiarity with role-based access control and database security practices
  • Proactive attitude, good problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication and documentation skills
