Under the direction of the General Manager, the Intermediate Designer (Structural or Mechanical) will leverage their extensive experience in assessment, design, and analysis. This role will provide an opportunity to be part of a diverse team while focusing on technical growth. The Intermediate Designer will be relied upon to make sound structural or mechanical designs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to delivery high-quality solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

· 5+ years of experience in structural or mechanical design
· Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD and Revit
· A strong understanding of design concepts, with an emphasis on structural design
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Organizational and time management skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering

Responsibilities

· Perform modeling, drafting and structural or mechanical design tasks for a wide variety of projects.
· Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
· Work collaboratively with engineers, designer, and project teams to produce quality design deliverables with the appropriate level of detail.
· Develop technical reports, drawings, and specifications for structural or mechanical projects.
· Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other team members to develop integrated designs.
· Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code and other relevant structural standards.
