INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Gas Liquids Engineering (GLE) is a well-established, privately-owned engineering firm providing EPCM services to the energy industry, including project management, engineering, drafting and design, procurement, construction management and regulatory services.
We are currently seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects in natural gas, oil, fractionation, carbon sequestration, hydrogen generation, power generation, and transmission projects.

As a member of our electrical engineering team your responsibilities, will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and execute small to large-sized projects as an Electrical Engineer, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, technologists, and designers, ensuring the quality and accuracy of engineering drawings and designs.
  • Assist in the design, specification, and evaluation of electrical and control systems, working closely with senior engineers to develop technical solutions.
  • Provide great value to our customers through technically strong and efficient work.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders, offering technical insights and support.
  • Support the growth of the Electrical department through standards and templates review and development.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology and a Registered P.L. (Eng.) with APEGA.
  • P.Eng. designation in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulator, e.g., APEGA, EGBC, APEGS, or EGMB.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in energy-related projects in Canada, including experience as the Electrical Lead on projects.
  • At least 1 year of experience leading and mentoring junior/intermediate engineers, technologists, and designers.
  • Proficiency in ETAP Electrical Power System Analysis Software.
  • Experience in oil and gas or process facilities is an asset; prior experience in power generation, transmission, and substations is also preferred.
  • An understanding of project change management, project procurement systems and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and engineering problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and technical skills.
  • Ability to work directly with client office and field personnel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Occasional travel to project sites may be required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
    Pay is commensurate with experience.
