Geophysics GPR International Inc. is a leading provider of geophysical services and geotechnical instrumentation to Canadian engineering, construction and mining companies. GPR is searching for am Intermediate Geophysical Technician to be based in its Mississauga office (Toronto).
The Intermediate Geophysical Technician will spend the majority of his/her time in the field, in and around the Greater Toronto Area, collecting geophysical data, and a portion of his/her time in the office on equipment maintenance and inventory.
Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Manager - Geophysicist, the Geophysical Technician will be responsible for

• the collection of geophysical data (executing surveys),
• processing, imaging and interpreting the data and
• preparing reports.

EDUCATION

• graduate of a 3 year Earth Resources Technician college program, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

• minimum 5 years of Ground Penetrating Radar data acquisition
• minimum 5 years of Ground Penetrating Radar data processing
• Previous experience with Geonics EM-31 and EM-61 instruments and data sets an asset.
• Experience with computer aided drafting an asset
• Experience in maintaining/troubleshooting electronic equipment an asset.
• Ability to work alone and / or supervise small teams
• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
