We are seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Saskatoon Office, as a successful candidate you will be working experienced engineers and collaborate with different teams on exciting projects. Your main responsibilities Lead and support the development of junior team members through mentorship and guidance; Organize, plan, and carry out geotechnical field investigations; Complete geotechnical calculations and analyses across a variety of project types; Conduct geohazard assessments and develop appropriate engineering designs; Perform analysis and design work related to earthen dam structures municipal and commercial infrastructures; Install, monitor, and interpret data from geotechnical instrumentation; Carry out construction inspections related to foundations, earthworks, and similar activities; Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports; Communicate project progress to project managers; Contribute to proposal preparation and support business development efforts. What makes you unique Bachelor's degree in civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering; Eligibility for registration with APEGS; A master’s degree is considered an advantage, but is not mandatory; Approximately 5 or more years of applicable professional experience; Experience in water structure design or foundation analysis and design would be an advantage; Experience coordinating geotechnical investigations is considered an asset; Strong self-starter with effective written and verbal communication abilities; Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities; Capable of working independently with limited supervision; Familiarity with geohazard assessments and/or dam projects is an asset; Willingness and ability to travel and work in remote locations under varying weather conditions, when required; Possession of a valid driver’s license.
