Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled junior to Intermediate Geotechnical / Mine Waste Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for and/or assist with the site investigation field work, data interpretation, construction monitoring, various analyses of mine waste facilities, including tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and water management systems. This role requires a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and industry best practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in a related field;
  • Experience with tailings or hydro dam design and management;
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes;
  • Experience in project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct geotechnical site investigation fieldwork;
  • Perform interpretation of site investigation and laboratory tests data;
  • Perform stability and seepage analyses;
  • Perform liquefaction analyses;
  • Develop and implement mine waste management plans;
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of mine waste management systems;
  • Prepare / assist with technical reports and documentation;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, environmental scientists, water resource engineers and project managers;
  • Provide technical support during project planning and execution phases.
