Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. As an Intermediate Interior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing interior design projects from concept development through implementation. This position requires a creative mindset, exceptional design skills, and a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high quality design solutions that exceed client expectations. This role also has the ability to grow into our currently vacant Design Manager position.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design process for interior projects, including space planning, concept development, material selection, and furniture specification.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, objectives, and aesthetic preferences, and translate them into innovative design concepts.
  • Create comprehensive design presentations, including mood boards, renderings, and sketches, to communicate design intent and vision effectively to the team as well as clients.
  • Develop detailed construction drawings and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Oversee the selection and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and finishes, coordinating with vendors, suppliers, and contractors as needed.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, supporting their professional growth and development within the team.
  • Conduct site visits for site measurement, assess project progress, resolve design-related issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and new materials to continuously enhance design capabilities and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Uphold high standards of design excellence, craftsmanship, and attention to detail throughout all stages of the design process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage interior design projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
  • Excellent design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics, proportion, and spatial composition.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship in design execution.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experienced in procurement and manufacturing process.
