We are currently seeking an Intermediate Land Development Construction Surveyor to join our dynamic team at Select and contribute to our continued success. We are dedicated as a TEAM to deliver innovative and reliable engineering solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial land development, as well as municipal capital infrastructure projects across Alberta. POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Land Development Construction Surveyor, you will be an integral part of our team, collaborating with project managers, engineers / technologists, clients, and other professionals to deliver high-quality work. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various stages of project development from start to finish. Your role will involve supporting construction activities while ensuring all on-site work adheres to engineering design, safety and quality standards.

APPLICANT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous construction survey experience is required.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Technology or related field.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Proficient in GPS surveying techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively outdoors in a construction environment.
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct construction surveys and layout.
  • Verify as-built conditions to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Monitor construction activities.
  • Coordinate field activities and manage on-site operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Laise with municipal inspectors and coordinate inspections.
  • Prepare record drawings and other supporting documents.
  • Assist with municipal and land development design and drafting.
