YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
  • Registered P.Eng. designation with APEGA or with other jurisdictions (BC, Saskatchewan) viewed as a benefit.
  • Design and fabrication experience with line heaters to API 12K, ASME Section VIII Vessels with COMPRESS, Shell and Tube API 660, design of Test Separator, IA, Line Heater, Chemical packages, etc.
  • Experience in well pad package design an asset.
  • Demonstrates awareness of health, safety and environment issues and commitment to address these issues.
  • Previous experience in production facility project execution including working with fabrication and construction teams considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with, other engineering disciplines: Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Civil.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Mechanical Engineer will be integral to the design of facility equipment and packages including process equipment, filters, vessels, and a variety of other fabricated components in production facilities – primarily in oil and gas. As part of the EPFC Mechanical Engineering Department, besides this critical fabrication design role, other mechanical discipline engineering tasks are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following scope:

  • Define, design, and manage fabrication packages
  • Technical design of fabricated equipment/components and packages
  • Size Vessels, design line heaters, design of shell and tube exchangers for packages
  • Review fabrication and package models and arrangements to ensure constructability
  • Schedule management
  • Cost management
  • Monitor and review materials for quality and assure client specification compliance.
  • Create mechanical engineering deliverables for EPFC scope:
  • Mechanical Equipment Datasheets
  • Scope of Works for fabrication shop and site construction
  • Databooks and/or manuals
  • Multi-discipline oversight of whole packages of specific equipment.
