This position is within WSP’s environmental division (Mining Engineering and Geology). This division provides a full range of services to industrial and mining operators, including all engineering services. The Mining Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the planning and execution of local and international mining projects.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in design reviews of mining projects;
  • Evaluate new technologies, mining methods and mine designs;
  • Analyze data and select mine design parameters;
  • Participate in technical studies on mining projects;
  • Assist in the preparation of bids for underground and open pit mining project evaluations and technical reports (PEA, PFS, FS or other);
  • Collaborate in the design of mines using specialized software such as Deswik;
  • Request budgetary prices for mining equipment or others;
  • Assist project managers as needed;
  • Perform all other related tasks that may help in the realization of the project.
