As an intermediate operations engineer, you’ll drive stability, performance, and automation across environments, ensuring seamless delivery from development to production.
We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in-person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you’ll do as an intermediate operations engineer:

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Perform configuration and management tasks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible. Work towards infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and reliability
  • Assist in managing cloud resources, monitoring performance, and optimizing costs
  • Set up and configure monitoring and alerting tools to track system performance, identify issues, and ensure uptime and reliability
  • Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to support their needs and requirements
  • Subject matter expert of applications owned by Price and promo team with detailed knowledge in all the associated application/environmental dependencies
  • Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues and help support applications in all environments

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience in IT support or server administration
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows Server or Linux platforms
  • 3+ years of experience working with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, automation, and real-time monitoring
  • 3+ years of experience supporting and/or developing Java/C# applications
  • Experience with the latest DevOps technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, APM, and Cloud
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Go, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Availability to work in a 24/7 operation environment
