We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Intermediate Piping Engineer to be based in either our Vancouver or Calgary office. The successful candidate will be working on Mining and Mineral Processing projects.

• Deliver piping engineering design in line with project requirements and Ausenco’s engineering standards.
• Perform and verify hydraulic calculations for pumped and gravity flow systems.
• Specify pipe supports, spring hangers, and expansion joints
• Review piping drawings and Isometrics
• Communicate with engineers from other disciplines to ensure design will be delivered according to project budget and schedules.
• Assist with project planning and recommend improvements to the design process.
• Assist designers in the production of project design drawings by providing technical assistance and reviewing drawings in a timely manner.
• Guide designers in best practise for piping layout, and participation multidiscipline layout reviews.
• Develop piping and valve material standards and engineering specifications.
• Input, review and incorporate vendor data to produce IFC level P&ID’s. Facilitate the purchase of bulk pipe, fitting and valves by creating data sheets, scopes or work, technical specifications, MTOs and lists, evaluating and conforming multiple tenderers, and assisting procurement with the purchase of the materials.
