What to expect….
SUMMARY: The Intermediate Programmer is responsible for the full lifecycle of software development, including designing, coding, testing, and implementing new applications. This role also involves maintaining and enhancing existing systems, resolving production issues, and ensuring seamless user support.

• Develop, test and implement new applications
• Troubleshoots/resolves production problems
• Maintain existing applications
• Provide technical advice, expertise and training to users
• Designs and codes programs of moderate to high complexity, creates test transactions and runs tests, revises as necessary
• Conducts systems analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems
• Prepare written technical materials i.e., program specifications etc.
• Review release notes, relevant documentation and participate in code reviews
• Provide application and user support, troubleshooting, application testing, system integration testing and post-implementation review of new/ changed applications
• Any additional duties as required

What you need….

• University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Sciences or a related discipline; or equivalent experience
• Experience in working in agile environments and toolsets
• 1 year of experience developing in a major cloud environment
• 5+ years Microsoft .Net Framework (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET), Microsoft Visual Studios
• 5+ years MS SQL design and development experience
• Knowledge of ASP.NET webservices, XML, desktop application development for Windows, web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript/jQuery)
• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and software design patterns
• Understanding of database design and programmin
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and best practices
• Additional skills that would be considered an asset include: Mobile development experience (.Net Compact Framework, Windows Mobile, Xamarin (Android or iOS), Data warehousing development (SSIS, SSAS,MDX), Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Visio, Word, Excel, etc.), Java, C, C++, SharePoint
