Description

THE ROLE:

A standout opportunity for an ambitious accountant whether you're ready to take that next step up as an Intermediate, or hit the ground running as a seasoned Senior to take genuine ownership of a dynamic client portfolio. You'll become the go-to advisor your clients count on, a technical resource for junior staff, and an integral part of driving the firm's ongoing success. The firm has capacity for the right person at either level, so your application is encouraged regardless of where you sit on that spectrum.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing and growing a broad client portfolio across a range of industries and entity structures
  • Preparing and/or reviewing financial statements and income tax returns across all entity types (depending on level)
  • Contributing to strategic tax planning and business advisory services tailored to each client's individual goals
  • Preparing and working through complex tax matters including Div 7A, CGT and FBT calculations
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, serving as a trusted point of contact
  • Identifying advisory opportunities and contributing to firm growth through referrals and cross-service engagement

THE BENEFITS:

  • Flexible working arrangements (after probation)
  • Flexible start and finish times to support a healthy work-life balance
  • A close-knit, supportive team culture where everyone genuinely looks out for one another
  • Structured mentoring and ongoing technical training to keep your expertise sharp and current
  • Competitive salary package commensurate with experience, with regular performance and remuneration reviews

ABOUT YOU:

  • You will have at least 2+ years' experience within an Australian public practice firm (Intermediate) or 4+ years (Senior), and demonstrate strong communication skills with a genuine interest in client service and team collaboration
  • Solid technical knowledge across business services and taxation
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion
  • Self-driven, commercially minded and genuinely passionate about where your career is headed
  • Experience using Xero will be highly regarded
