Intermediate/Senior Building Design Technologist (Architectural Technologist)

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an Intermediate/Senior Building Design Technologist (ArchitecturalTechnologist) to join our growing studio. In this role, you will lead or support the delivery of complex custom home projects, oversee documentation quality, guide clients through design decisions, and coordinate directly with builders and consultants. Depending on your experience level, you may also mentor junior staff and help shape best practices within our team.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detailed-focused environment and wants to make a lasting impact by delivering homes that balance vision and precision.

• Lead or support the development of presentation drawings and construction-ready documents for residential projects
• Apply advanced knowledge of the BC Building Code to ensure compliance across all designs
• Collaborate directly with clients through meetings and communications, guiding them through revisions and decisions
• Coordinate design input with builders, engineers, and consultants to ensure buildable, cost-aligned solutions
• Review work produced by junior technologists and provide technical guidance as needed
• Stay current with design software, industry standards, and emerging trends to bring innovation into the studio
