We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with extensive facilities experience to join our dynamic Calgary Flex Projects team. This is a leadership-oriented role responsible for overseeing multidisciplinary engineering execution, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering projects safely, on time, and on budget.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Process, or related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Alberta or eligible for registration with APEGA.
  • 7–15 years of progressive engineering experience, with a strong background in oil & gas or industrial facilities.
  • Proven track record leading multi-discipline engineering teams on large-scale EPCM projects.
  • Strong understanding of project execution in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the engineering scope for facilities projects from concept through to detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Manage project engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives, client expectations, and corporate standards.
  • Oversee engineering deliverables, schedules, and budgets; proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Provide technical expertise and decision-making support across all engineering disciplines.
  • Serve as the primary engineering contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and company quality standards.
  • Facilitate design reviews, constructability assessments, and project progress meetings.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
