Join the Point-of-Sale (POS) Modernization team! As an Intermediate Software Engineer, you will work on a highly complex, fast-paced, cross-platform effort with varying technology solutions (infrastructure, software, middleware, etc.). As a vital team member, you will contribute to building scalable, robust, and secure solutions that will enhance the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications. You will work closely with the project team to ensure requirements are understood and turned into functional code that is peer-reviewed, tested, and deployed to our production environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and scalability. 
• Collaborate with business analysts and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
• Implement new features and functionalities to enhance the capabilities of the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications. 
• Assist with production installs, pilot monitoring, and problem determination. 
• Working closely with quality assurance and testers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free software solutions that will enhance the system.
• Staying up to date on emerging technologies that may be applied to the cloud platform supporting Point-of-Sale applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs
• 3+ years of experience with TFS/Git code management, DevOps Integration, DevOps Pipelines, or other CI/CD tools
• 3+ years of experience with Data storage technologies (such as SQL server)
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET/Core, C#
• 2+ years of enterprise level Angular or REACT front end experience
• Experience with Agile software development cycles

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of experience with designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level applications
• 5+ years of experience analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions using object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, service-oriented architecture, and solution frameworks
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs and Windows services
• 4+ years of experience with TFS/Git code management, DevOps Integration, DevOps Pipelines, or other CI/CD tools
• 4+ years of experience with Data storage technologies (such as SQL server and SQLite)
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft .NET Core, C#, Python, XML/JSON, XSLT, YAML, and PowerShell
• 3+ years of enterprise level Angular front-end experience
• 3+ years of experience with Agile software development cycles
• Experience and knowledge of container-based applications in Docker
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging service such as MSMQ or Rabbit MQ
